Online safeguarding training for anyone who works with 16 to 25 year olds in England or Wales
This introductory elearning course, developed in association with the Ann Craft Trust, will give you a clear understanding of how to recognise, report and record concerns and protect the young people you work with.

3 hour online course
Working at your own pace, you’ll learn how to:
- recognise possible abuse
- respond appropriately
- report your concerns
- record your observations.
How the online course works
Each module takes about 20-40 minutes to complete and is followed by five questions. At the end of each module you’ll be given a full explanation of the correct and incorrect answers.
The course includes:
- teaching pages
- film clips
- audio recordings
- reflective tasks
- interactive learning activities and quizzes.
You have access to your course for one year following purchase. Once you've successfully completed it you can download a personalised certificate of achievement.
Who is this course for?
Safeguarding 16 to 25 year olds is an introductory course for anyone who works with young people from the age of 16 to 25. This may include:
- mentors or individuals who work for an organisation or independently
- social care and education professionals.
You don’t need any previous safeguarding training to take this course.
Safeguarding 16 to 25 year olds will work in most browsers, though we recommend that you use Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or Firefox. You will need to make sure your browser is up to date for the course to run.
This course can be taken on PCs and Macs, as well as iPads or other tablet devices. Please note, we are unable to provide full technical support for tablet users.
