A leaflet for d/Deaf adults

Our Telling about abuse leaflet can be shared with deaf adults who find pictures easier to read than words. It can help someone know what to do when they have concerns about a child.

In partnership with Books Beyond Words we tell a story in pictures about Anita, a deaf teaching assistant. Anita is worried about a child after seeing him roughly treated by his Dad. We show how Anita gets help by contacting our free helpline and what happens after she tells an NSPCC counsellor about her concerns.

The leaflet is also a valuable resource for services and professionals working with deaf adults.
