Implementation support for NSPCC services

We partner with organisations across the UK and beyond to help you deliver tried and tested tools and interventions in your local area. Our range of services provide valuable support to the children and families you work with, helping you fill gaps in your current provision.

Everything we do is underpinned by a strong evidence base – we’ve rigorously evaluated every part of our offer and continuously develop our support based on our learning.

How we support you

Our implementation package is so much more than just training to help you run a service – though we offer that too.

First, we help you prepare the ground for your chosen tool or intervention, carrying out readiness assessments, and holding pre-implementation discussions and strategic briefings. This helps make sure everyone, including your senior leaders, are on board and committed to the service from the outset.

Then, we support you to put your chosen offer in place, providing you with training and comprehensive resources based on our extensive experience helping others run services. You’ll also have access to learning spaces and community of practice events where you can learn from others who have been through the process.

And finally, when your offer is well-established, we’ll help you prepare to run it independently, making sure it continues to provide support to children and families in the longer term.

What we’ve learnt

We’ve helped more than 300 organisations across the UK to implement and deliver evidence-based services. And we’ve learnt a lot in doing so.

Implementing an evidence-based service can take between two and four years from the time an organisation begins to explore introducing the service to when it’s fully up and running and providing better outcomes for children and families.

So it’s essential that the implementation is thoroughly planned and well executed. Our work is underpinned by implementation and behavioural science. We draw on research and evidence from a range of disciplines and have used these, along with our own experience of scaling up services, to ensure the more effective approaches to implementation.
