It can be difficult to spot the potential risks of traumatic head injury. In some cases, signs can be missed because the complex and often combined risk factors that can lead to injuries are not recognised.

What will I learn?

This course will help you to:

understand the prevalence of non-accidental head injury (NAHI) in babies under the age of one
identify the risk factors for NAHI and understand which babies might be at increased risk
recognise the early warning signs a child could be at risk and the potential triggers for parents and carers
create a supportive environment for parents and carers
engage fathers and male carers.
