Are you new to a DSO role or looking for DSO training?

This course will help you familiarise yourself with the DSO role and its responsibilities and develop your confidence in recognising, reporting and recording concerns about a child or young person.

You’ll learn about:

  • key safeguarding and child protection legislation
  • what measures need to put in place to support children, young people, staff and volunteers
  • applying a national standards framework to your safeguarding.

Are you an experienced DSO and want to build on your existing knowledge to maintain a strong safeguarding culture within your organisation?

This advanced course will help you:

  • deal with complex safeguarding and child protection concerns and needs
  • ensure your organisation maintains a safeguarding culture
  • evaluate the effectiveness of your organisation’s safeguarding measures.
