Back-to-school child protection training for safeguarding leads in England

Are you a safeguarding lead or teacher at a school in England in 2026/27? Our essential masterclass covers what you need to get back to school with confidence, including updates to Keeping children safe in education (KCSIE). 

This training has been developed using our safeguarding expertise, based on the latest evidence and guidance and bringing in the voice of children and young people from Childline. You’ll discover vital information, including how developments in technology impact safeguarding and how to identify a child who may be at risk.

What will I learn?

This 60-minute online on-demand recording will guide you through:

  • Working together and KCSIE updates, including new government guidance on how to support children questioning their gender
  • relevant safeguarding legislation including the Crime and Policing Act and the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act
  • emerging safeguarding risks and vulnerabilities including loneliness, Com Networks and sexually coerced extortion.

Our masterclasses are pre-recorded videos of our safeguarding experts guiding you through a topic and sharing their real-life experience of child protection.

They include instructions to pause and reflect to complete exercises and activities that help to embed the learning.

These masterclasses are available on-demand, with immediate access after purchase, allowing learners to complete at a time that is convenient for them.

You can start and stop as needed, complete in one go or multiple sessions and can revisit as many times as you like within a year of purchase.

Video clips hosted on the video sharing site Vimeo feature in some of our courses. Video playback controls will vary and are dependent on the browser used to take the course.
