Schools safeguarding update 2026/27

This on-demand masterclass is for anyone working or volunteering in schools, academies or colleges in England. That includes teachers, teaching assistants and support staff who come into contact with children and young people.

Staff and volunteers looking for a full introduction to safeguarding may be interested in our Safeguarding training for schools, academies and colleges.

• school governors, trustees or board members

Our masterclasses are pre-recorded videos of our safeguarding experts guiding you through a topic and sharing their real-life experience of child protection.

They include instructions to pause and reflect to complete exercises and activities that help to embed the learning.

These masterclasses are available on-demand, with immediate access after purchase, allowing learners to complete at a time that is convenient for them.

You can start and stop as needed, complete in one go or multiple sessions and can revisit as many times as you like within a year of purchase.

This masterclass can be accessed on PCs and Macs, as well as iPads or other tablet devices. Please note, we are unable to provide full technical support for tablet users. We do not support other mobile devices. If you choose to use a mobile device we would recommend watching the video in full screen mode.

Video clips hosted on the video sharing site Vimeo feature in some of our courses. Video playback controls will vary and are dependent on the browser used to take the course. Your browser may automatically mute the video when it starts playing, but you should be able to unmute it using the speaker icon on the bottom right of the player toolbar.
