Face to face course helping you put lessons from case reviews into practice and improve safeguarding for children and young people

Learning from case reviews is an important way to improve day-to-day practice and help protect children and young people.

Case reviews often highlight reoccurring challenges and themes such as disguised compliance, information sharing and professional curiosity. But how can you best apply this insight?

This course examines the topics that keep arising, how to apply the learning and how to embed this into your practice to help keep children safe from abuse and harm.

What will I learn?

You will learn through group discussion, reflective tasks, audio and video presentations. You will:

  • examine how learning from case reviews applies to different work environments and sectors
  • explore emerging and reoccurring themes for learning and how these may present in your organisation
  • consider ways of taking learning back into your organisation and how to improve practice.

Ahead of the training you will be given a briefing to read to prepare for the session.
